The Mim NewEra Clip in Action – Sydney International HSBC World Cup Round May 2010

Finally, I have it, below is some of the video of the Mim NewEra Clip in action.  This video was shot to see how the clip performed in action, at a tough combination.  In many ways this fence is similar to the infamous fence that Oli Townend fell at during the Rolex Event earlier this year.

The clips have been adjusted since this event to improve their durability to hits from legs, all but one of the hits in the video are from a below the knee foreleg hit, the other a similar location on the hind leg, so it is drawing a long bow to say they may have been rotational.  However, I watched every horse over these fences and there were 2 or3 that looked pretty serious I am still working on getting some of those on film from other sources.  Fingers crossed.  Have a look at this and decide for yourself, personally I believe this is amazing technology, in it’s early development no doubt, but amazingly flexible in application.  Go here for more information on the Mim NewEra System.

Thank you to Wayne Copping FEI International Course Desinger for providing the footage.
